Throughout their history, Quakers have been deeply concerned with questions of peace, social justice and responsibility . The interests of Abingdon Quakers are reflected in the Meeting's support for charities.

Monthly Special Collection

Each month the Meeting makes a special collection for a charity in which a member has a particular interest.

We are currently supporting  Oxford Homeless Pathways, a charity which provides a range of services for homeless and recently homeless people aged 18+. They help people tackle the issues that have led them to become homeless and to build confidence, develop new skills and put in place plans to change their lives. The Vineyard Housing Scheme in Abingdon is one project in our own area.
