Luther Street Medical Centre

Abingdon is about 7 miles from the centre of Oxford, and our Quaker Meeting has strong connections with the Luther Street Medical Centre. This Centre provides medical services to the many homeless people in Oxford who can not use regular GP facilities.

There are many reasons for individual homelessness, but the long-term conequences are disturbingly similar in many cases - mental health problems, and drug or alcohol abuse, all leading to social exclusion and loss of self esteem.
